Anyway, I'm super excited to both A) Pick up the record, and even sooner--B) Listen to the record--which is exactly what I'll be doing tonight, on this lovely free-from-work President's Day. Tonight at 7 pm, the Empty Bottle will be hosting a free listening party for Dark Was the Night, spinning both discs in completion from 7-9, just happening before the weekly Monday free show night. So really, all entertainment is free and the bottle will be boasting their $1.50 pbr cans, so even in this economical crunch recession, you'd have to be pretty damn cheap/frugal to pass up this solid of a line-up.
i heart dead prez (and live ones too i guess), if only for the simple fact that i got a 3-day wknd and an extra day for laundry, clean bedding, internet tax frustration (and completion) and of course, some quality cat snugglin time (they's both in little kitty balls at my feet right now as i type this, melts my icy heart i tell you. . . ) so tonite, empty bottle, good tunes, the whole wknd is wrapped up in a fun fun fun finalization. then tomorrow. . . i return to the cubicle with an "official" new title, account supervisor. dun, da duh. . . . . my life as an awesome kid with an adult fear complex ends tonight and tomorrow rebegins as official sell-out. awww shit.
