with my naked eye i saw

oh, lucious jackson. how you and your sugary alt-fem goodness still strike a chord in my once teenage angsty heart. listening to this now extinct trio's 96 hit, "naked eye," i'm instantly taken back to the days of 16 yr-old hood. ten years later, i'm no longer chugging along in my 93 red ford tempo. not quite sporting rainbow striped camisoles and pink braless halter tops or baggy, string tied brown cargo pants. vans skater sneaks, no longer. the days of pink/purple hair are no more. but this song still brings a smile to my face and will force me to never forget my adventures with white mascara and dark blue lipstick. my purple/blue fuzzy steering wheel cover and hello kitty floormats. slinging pizzas and pitchers of pepsi at my afterschool job. glitter eyeshadow and feeble attempts at skateboarding. the track is almost like a time machine, zinging me back into my days of naive innocence, where my biggest beef was when liana smith had the same pair of brown pants from maurice's or that girl from juda wore the same dress as me in prom. how i would love to transport back to the summer of the mid-to-late 90's. even if only for more of some lucisous jackson. . . .
